The California legislature passed a new law in 2019 extending the statute of limitations until December 31, 2022, in ca clergy abuse cases. It was codified as section 340.1 of the California Code of Civil Procedure. Section (b)(1)(a) of that statute addresses childhood sexual assault cover-ups.
